French Girl in New York!

The trials and tribulations of Isabelle, a 22-year-old French Caribbean exchange student coming from Guadeloupe to attend New York University, determined to make it big in the big apple. "Making it" means be wild trying everything she's seen on U.S. TV series, Facebook friends' travels and instagrammers she follows. She must find love and create the opportunity that is going to make her rich and famous! Through light comedy, we create situations that highlight social issues offering a rare insider's view of Caribbean culture in modern day America. Discover the Caribbean American experience!

Mariette Monpierre

From the beaches of Guadeloupe to the bright lights of the Big Apple, Mariette Monpierre is a rising star in the film industry. She has a Master from the Sorbonne University & Smith College. She began her career @ BBDO NY producing commercials for Pepsi, Visa, Pizza Hut, Gillette & FedEx. Her portfolio includes music videos, documentaries & her feature film "Elza" (Le Bonheur d'Elza) was the NY Times Critics' Pick & won several awards @ PAFF in L.A; the Paul Robeson Award @ FESPACO'13; Best Narrative @ Roxbury Film Fest & The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Fest.
